Hoi An town - an old site for walking

Hoi An is ancient town with charming beauty. It is also the World Heritage site since 1999. The style of the town is combination of Chinese, Japanese, European and Vietnamese influences.

Hoi An is the mixture of a modern life and the old style. It creates a typical image of the modern day town in the atmosphere of bygone days.

Coming to this place, travelers will be felt in love with the town, espencially walking in the old town is very attractive. Hue Festival 2014 - A festival for culture and development

With the topic "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development", the eighth edition of Hue Festival, this festival takes place from April 12th to April 20th 2014. This will be a place for meeting of ancient capital cities in Vietnam as well as in the world.

Hue Festival 2014 will be special cultural exchange within the framework of the Forum for East Asia and Latin America Cooperation that initiated by the Vietnam's Ministry of Foregn Affairs.

There are many art performances showing in the festival. There are also typical arets show for disabled people, patients and workers.

Hue Festival 2014 will be re-enact unique royal ceremonies together with a wide range of unprecedented and exciting community throughout the 9 days of the festival with the participation fo a large number of artists, actors, actresses and the public.

Key Events
A variety of magnifiicent events will take place throughout 9 days of the festival:
+ The artistic program of Grand Opening Ceremony at 20:00 of April 12th, 2014.
+ The program "Imperial Night" in the evenings of April 15th and 19th (with roayl banquets)
+ Ao Dai Grand Shows at 20:00 of April 14th and 17th, 2014
+ The "Oriental Night" shows on April 13th, 15th, 16th and 18th, 2014
+ The exclusive spectacles of Hue's arts at 20:00 of April 16th and 18th, 214
+ The Nam Giao Offering Ritual on April 18th, 2014
+ Street performances by art troupes from member countries of the Forum for East Asia and Latin America Cooperation in the afternoons during the festival in the city centre of Hue, surrounding towns of the province.

Vietnam Land

Vietnam has a rather diversified topography: plains, midlands, mountains and forests. The largest and potentially most fertile plains are the Mekong River Delta in the South, and the Red River Delta in the North.

The midlands are a hilly region linking the mountain areas to the plains. The largest hilly region lies on the rim of the Red River Delta, the fringe of the plains of Thanh Hoa and Nghe Tinh provinces, and narrow down in the coastal area of central Vietnam along the Truong Son Range.

These areas are favorable to the cultivation of food and subsidiary food crops, industrial crops, fruit trees, as well as to cattle farming and construction.

Travelers will be delighted to see the hills covered with tea, coffee, pepper and pine-apples lying as far as the eye can see, the verdant mulberry fields, the cattle farms... This area is actually rich land region.

Vietnam is covered with many mountains and forests. Mountains and forests make up three-forth of Vietnam land. It can be divided into four main zones: The North-Eastern mountain or Viet Bac - The North Western Region, The North Truong Son Region and the Central Highland.

Vietnam - a long historical country

Vietnam is a country with a four thousand year history. It lays in the eastern Indochina; it is an importan communication link between the India Ocean and the Pacific and a gate of South-East Asia.

Vietnam's national territory comprises a land mass 330,000 square km (127,380 square miles), a vast sea including a large continental shelf and a string of archipelagos stretching from the Tonking Gulf to the Gulf of Thailand.

Vietnam is a continuous land mass bordering China in the North, Laos and Cambodia in  the west, and the Pacific Ocean int he east and the south.

It is a S-shape land, with two large ends and a narrow middle. The distance between its northernmost and southernmost points is 1,650km as the crow flies and its width varies from 50km to 600km from east to west.

Vietnam has 54 ethnic groups, members of the great national community of Vietnam. All are the cultural beauty of Vietnam.

Hon Chen Temple - a holy site

Hon Chen temple was built on Ngoc Tran mount, Hai Cat. Ngoc Tran is precarious mont besides the deepest part of the Perfume River in Hue city Vietnam.

On the top of the hill, there is a big hole which looks like a cup, where often holds clean water. Thus, the mount was called Jade Cup Mount.


In the old time, the Cham erectd a temple to cult the Goddess Ponagar. Later, the Vietnamese followed Thien Tien Thanh and worshipped here under the name of Goddess Thien Y A Na, this is the local religion.

Under the Nguyen Dynasty, the temple was renovated and enlarged many times. From 1882 to 1885, drung the time waiting ot be crouwned, Emperor Dong Khanh asked his mother to go to Ngoc Tran Temple to pray ans aks for instructions fo Goddes Thien Y A Na.

When coming to the throne, Emperor Dong Khanh had temple rebuilt, and many iterms mad to worship her then he rename it, Hue Nam temple.

Hon Chen Temple is known far and wide not only because it religious remains but also for it landscape. This site was put into a poetic natural surrounding, romantic mount and river of Hue Vietnam. Hon Chen Temple is composed of some ten nice constuctions, all set half way of the south east smooth slope of the mountain hidden under ancient trees which give shave all the year round.

The water surface of the Perfume River is clear and blue transquil lik a mirror, reflecting the ancient temple and show its beauty.



Beautiful Beaches and Islands

Beautiful beaches are in Hoi An.
An Bang is the famous one in Hoi An, a wild local beach. Here are clean water and fresh air. You can find some retaustant here for your meal after swimming.
The second one is Cua Dai Beach. You will see beautiful coconut farm on the bach with white sand.
Cham Island
It is a small island in the sea of Hoi An. You can see this from the seashore of Hoi An beaches. It is very good for travelers who like to dive and to see coral. You can get boat trip to this island very easily from hotels of local booking office.

These are the attractive sites of Hoi An which travelers should come to visit to get nice time in Hoi An as well as the time traveling through Vietnam.

Hoi An - A peaceful town

Hoi An is a site rich of tradition an history. It has become the world heritage site since 1999. I was use to be an international trade port. Now it still keeps the old beauty which attracts many travelers from all around the world.

When visit Hoi An, travelers will get good chance to live in the peaceful area with the colorful at night time. Hoi An will be covered the color of lanterns and reflects its-self on the lovely Thu Bon River.

Stepping in the old town, you will feel you are going to the tranquil of life to find out another side of life. Espcially, the full moon time is really attractive. The old town is live without motobikes, which is good for walkers in this place.

Sometimes on the street of Hoi An, you can also listen to the traditional music or see some people playing chess or see some children playing football. That is great time for us to enjoy the life and culture.
